The trust that Taya, Hannah and Shiela had in my baby, my body, me, my husband, our story, and really all of Life, was deeply transformational. I felt held, safe and free to ask any question, to be exactly as I am, to grieve and celebrate truthfully, to give birth with courage, heal gently, and listen to our baby as we welcomed her into this world.These women are the precious jewels in our community, and I hope they have open roads to grow their practice and reach as many families as possible with their gifts.

Wow after interviewing many different midwives, I’m so happy we decided to work with Shiela, Taya, and their amazing team. It was a beautiful and intimate process from the beginning with them. Since we had a really challenging time with the birth of our first child, it was important for us to find a team that could offer the depth of experience that would make us feel safe to try home birth again. I met with Shiela and Taya and their team after deciding to give birth at home and before our first meeting was over I knew that they were the perfect midwives to guide us through this process. From the beginning, they were compassionate and knowledgeable and made sure that we were well informed every step of the way. With the assumption that my labor would be as quick as my first, they made sure that we were prepared enough to welcome our daughter on our own in case they didn’t make it in time. We were so thankful for that, as that was the exact outcome. They arrived just minutes after baby’s arrival and quickly got to work making us comfortable and cleaning up all of the birthing materials, leaving us with a stress-free environment to start bonding and healing. I also have to mention their determination to fostering a successful breastfeeding relationship. They knew that breastfeeding was very important to me and made sure that I was fully supported from the very beginning, no matter what. Here we are almost 5 months later, successfully breastfeeding with no signs of stopping anytime soon thanks to these two wonderful midwives! The ability to give birth and begin recovering in your own space with the unwavering support of these incredible women made for a beautiful experience. Their expertise and compassion made my home birth so deeply memorable. We are forever grateful for their guidance during this special time in our lives. We rave about these ladies every chance we get!

We traveled all the way from Hawaii to have Shiela and Taya’s support for the birth of our second child. After having a hard birth with our first, we needed to feel we had the right support this time around. I couldn't be more happy and grateful with their care. They both provided the most beautiful and healing support for our journey. We felt so heard and held the entire time (prenatal, labor, postpartum). Their knowledge and professionalism weren't the only things that we appreciated, but also their emotional and spiritual guidance.
